For whatever reason, don’t ask me why, I (#1) decided no sweets and/or cheeseburgers for the month of August so instead I usually order (#2) turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion and mustard on rye bread with a side of fruit or a vegetable–so far I have had one at Subways, Jimmy John’s Gourmet  Sandwiches, Denny’s and IHOP. (First #2) while Allen had a cheeseburger!!!

Friday, after the movie, we went to Cheddar’s and both had the salmon with carrots, broccoli and rice–see the halo over my head? That’s because I had mine dry broiled!

I mentioned the geckos (#3) we have all over our property. There are so many different kinds that they are fun to come across and, trust me, they are more afraid of you than you are of them!

The Home Depot had (#4) Mandevilla alice du pont vines on sales for $2.98 each and I got 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 white. They are blooming beautiful and I am curious to see how they continue to fare indoors. (And 2 years later they are still blooming!)

And, of course, what is summer without a few pigeons (#3) around begging for food and pooping all over–but I love the birds!

“In our life there is a simple colour,

as on an artist’s palette, which provides

the meaning of life and art.

It is the colour of love.”

Marc Chagall
